Pedestal and Towers are usually sized and fabricated to suit specific customer requirements. They may use any mix of Cat 5, Cat 6, Cat 6A and Cat 7 profiles to suit the purpose. Selected examples shown below:
A and B. Desk top pedestal. Cat 6 capable data and standard power outlets.
C. Desk top and/or under desk. Cat 6 capable data and standard power outlets.
D. Column. Note the 64R/1 as shown is Cat 6 capable. A special configuration for a 64R/2 can allow power and Cat 6 capable data in a restricted arrangement, otherwise the 64R/2 is Cat 5 data compliant. Slimline/Workshop fittings are necessary regardless.
E. Extended pedestal. Cat 6 capable data and standard power shown. Usual desk clearances would allow four standard outlets per channel.
